Great black and white photography part 3

The one thing that caught my eye was how he was so depressed and unhappy in every photo taken of him.

- I see how lonely and sad the man is.
-I smell sweat because he might have been running.
-I hear crying and sorrow and pleading.
-I taste nothing.
- I feel forgetnessfull and another chance to make things right again.

final exam part 2 and 3 AND extra credit

The gunman is shooting through the glass trying to save his wife. His wife survived because he shot through the glass of the elevator in the mall.
Fighting in a a war to save his country as a fire starts and he doesn't make it out, but he saved his country and his family he left behind. His family was devastated of his passing and prays he rest in peace.
The governor and president having a talk as he aboards the plane to go visit another country. He explains to her that he is going to make things better. He went and had a speech to another country and explained that we needed to start improving in our economy.
                                                                            Part 3
I would say the element in this photo is leading lines. the reason i chose leading lines is because of all the lines on the track and it helps us figure out where all of the racers in the photo are and who's in what place. without the leading lines we would be lost.
The element in this photo is simplicity. the reason this photo is simplicity is because the back ground is blurred out so that the simple element we are focused on is the soldier. we are focusing on hid face and his emotions he is feeling inside by his facial expression.
To me, this photo represents rule of thirds. i think this because of the path and the side crowds balancing it out making it into a division of three sections in the photo. also, this photo represents balancing elements because the two side crowds on the side balance out the middle path and bring focus to the dog.
This photo is also another representation of balance. they balanced out the photo to where the sun is exactly where his hands are. This photo is amazing to me. its like the president has the world in his hand.
Extra credit
1.a man got ran over by a subway train after being shoved into the tracks by an unidentified person.
2. The photographer took the photo to capture the train drivers final moments and that something was wrong.
3. I do think he should have captured the final moments because even though it was a tragic moment he still got a photo of something bad that happened.
4. Yes he did. even though it didn't work at least he tried instead of just not saying anything at all.
5. I disagree with the idea of posting the photo to the newspaper. Its too graphic.
6. I would say both are equally important, trying to keep people safe and catering interesting experiences of life.
7. I don't think it is appropriate to involve himself in a situation that it not his business but it interesting to have photos.
8. yes, the should avoid it because they shouldn't involve themselves into something they don't need to be in. Just take the picture and leave.
9. The most appropriate response would be that he tried to save the train driver but unfortunately it was too late.

Self portrait preview

Tips:
1. Use both auto and manual while shooting photos.
2. Capture you.

Step 2:
Enviromental portraits:

They are showing their passion for what they loving doing, and the environment they love being in.
Step 3:
Casual portraits

I love the double affect mirror on the baby and the babes adorable, and in the second photo the couple looks happy, but just casual.
Step 4:
Formal portraits:

I love the affect on the first photo and the dramatic face expression, goes with the formal look. in the second one, they are dressed formally and still all happy, i just like it.

Step 5:
Photography self portrait:

I love the dramatic look in these photos.

I want to take a photo of somebody in their comfortable environment doing something they love, i also just want a casual photo. not trying too hard but for the photo to just look good.

3 pillars of exposure

Aperture photos
1.The body part we would use for aperture is our eyes.
2.The smaller the aperture means a bigger the "F-stop" and the higher the aperture means the smaller the "F-stop".
3.The dept of the aperture affects the photo by bringing out the main focus in the photo.

Shutter speed
1.High shutter speed

2. Low shutter speed

ISO
1. ISO 200 and 3200
1. The higher the ISO the more zooms in the picture is and the more you can see things clearer in the pictures.
2. If there is plenty of lighting in the area you are trying to shoot your photo you should always try to use low iso.
3. If the lighting is low and you dont use flash, you should use high iso to get the good quality you want out of the photo.

  • F4: Too bright
  • F5.6: still way too bright, photo is exposing a little more.
  • F8: photo came out perfect!
  • F11: Photo is just a little too dark.
  • F16: Photo is now too dark to where you can barely see it.
  • F22: Cant see picture at all now, too dark.

pricipals of design.

Balance is the comfortable or pleasing arrangement of things in art.
PHOTO; i chose this photo for balance because i feel the photo is balanced out really well.
Contrast is created by using elements that conflict with one another
Photo; i chose this photo for contrast because it is black and white.
P

Emphasis in the focal area of an artwork gives it importance
photo; the faces was really empasised on making her really pop out.

Movement in an artwork means the artist is taking viewers on a trip through the work by means of lines, edges, shapes, and colors often leading to the focal area.
photo:this photo represents movement because the waves are moving.

Patterns are made in art when the same shapes or elements are repeated again and again.
photo: the colors in this photo are making a patter by red, yellow, blue and green.
p

Rhythm is the repetition of shapes, lines, and forms.

Unity means that all elements in an artwork are in harmony.

Elements of art

Line; a long, narrow mark or band
photo; i chose this picture for lines because it clearly shows lines of cans in the photo making it a good example of lines.

Shape; the quality of a distinct object or body in having a external surface or outline of specific figure or form.
photo; i chose this photo for shape because i like how it has all tier different faces and in a way they are all shapes in many different ways including facial expression.

Color;the quality of an object or substance with respect to light reflected by the object, usually determined visually by measurement of hue, saturation, and brightness of the reflected light.
photo; i chose this photo for color because it brings out lots of colors, its just a really good example for color.

value; relative worth, merit, or importance.
photo; i chose this photo for value because its a very valuable painting that most every body has seen before and knows that is has value.

Form;an external appearance of clearly defined area, as distinguished from color of material.
photo;this photo explains form very well because of the way the waves are going up and forming an arch.

Texture;the visual and especially tactile quality of a surface.
space;the portion or extent of of this in a given instance.
photo;a flower is a good example of texture, because all flowers have texture and many different ones too.
