pricipals of design.

Balance is the comfortable or pleasing arrangement of things in art.
PHOTO; i chose this photo for balance because i feel the photo is balanced out really well.
Contrast is created by using elements that conflict with one another
Photo; i chose this photo for contrast because it is black and white.
P

Emphasis in the focal area of an artwork gives it importance
photo; the faces was really empasised on making her really pop out.

Movement in an artwork means the artist is taking viewers on a trip through the work by means of lines, edges, shapes, and colors often leading to the focal area.
photo:this photo represents movement because the waves are moving.

Patterns are made in art when the same shapes or elements are repeated again and again.
photo: the colors in this photo are making a patter by red, yellow, blue and green.
p

Rhythm is the repetition of shapes, lines, and forms.

Unity means that all elements in an artwork are in harmony.

Elements of art

Line; a long, narrow mark or band
photo; i chose this picture for lines because it clearly shows lines of cans in the photo making it a good example of lines.

Shape; the quality of a distinct object or body in having a external surface or outline of specific figure or form.
photo; i chose this photo for shape because i like how it has all tier different faces and in a way they are all shapes in many different ways including facial expression.

Color;the quality of an object or substance with respect to light reflected by the object, usually determined visually by measurement of hue, saturation, and brightness of the reflected light.
photo; i chose this photo for color because it brings out lots of colors, its just a really good example for color.

value; relative worth, merit, or importance.
photo; i chose this photo for value because its a very valuable painting that most every body has seen before and knows that is has value.

Form;an external appearance of clearly defined area, as distinguished from color of material.
photo;this photo explains form very well because of the way the waves are going up and forming an arch.

Texture;the visual and especially tactile quality of a surface.
space;the portion or extent of of this in a given instance.
photo;a flower is a good example of texture, because all flowers have texture and many different ones too.

Class Mural

1. I think a good school themed mural would be like a photo of every persons talent. some subjects would be like sports, art, music, singing, and any other specific talents everybody in our class has.

2. This theme is worth doing because talents are important and everybody takes pride and confidence in their special talents.

 3. an advantage of using a phone camera for this mural is you can take the pictures anywhere and everywhere and phone cameras have great affects to make each photo look great and unique.
A disadvantage is some camera phones are crappy and the effects on your photos are not always so great.

4. For this project, i think we could use both a camera phone and a professional camera and it would look good either way.

Africa

 1. My reactions the the power point where happy, i love black and white photos and this power point was really beautiful!
2. This photo is my favorite photo in the power point. I can just imagine this photo in color with the pink trees and the tall pretty giraffe. this photo looks so beautiful in black and white. it stood out the most to me from all the other slides.

3. The elements in this photo are leading lines because of all the tree. The other element to this photo is framing because in a way the trees frame around the giraffe.

4. Nick Brandt used the Pentax 67II as his camera to take photos.

5Nick Brandt took these photos to memorialize the vanishing natural grandeur of East Africa.

6.his hope for taking these photos was to show a side of africa that has not been seen before, wanting to show others another side of africa and their beautiful animals.

7. "I want to memorialize the beauty of africa before it gets destroyed.

selfie quick write.

To me, this photo is kind of weird. i don't really understand why everyone is bowed down. It doesn't look like she's taking a selfie. It looks like she's taking a picture of something else or trying to get signal on her phone.
